Hey, I’m Jill Stone.
I’m an artist, marital artist, and community builder based in Berkeley, California. And I strongly believe that…
Art is only as good as its ability to strengthen a web of relationships.
I’ve made countless portraits, songs, and poems, and yet, my most meaningful work has been creating scenes of togetherness.
Allow me to paint you a picture of the world I live in.
As a wise matriarch, I tend a network of homes, each one a special planet organized around the unique template of those who inhabit it.
I gather around big, sturdy, inviting tables vibrating with laughter from cheeky jokes.
I disappear into the soft, soapy water as I do the dishes. Excited about all that’s happening behind the scenes of my mind as I rest in spaciousness.
I walk into living rooms with half finished paintings atop multiple easels, excited to see something in them that the creator couldn’t.
I sing into cozy, candlelit rooms. Chills creep up spines and awaken cells.
The purpose of my art is to serve the body’s awakening into greater intelligence and vitality.
I am at home in homes where I can resonate the subtle movements of our souls.
Would you like to be a part of this world?
Artist Statement:
The backbone of my creative process is a dignified relationship with myself.
As a friend to myself, I ask this question:
How do I feel with the bravery of an artist
and act with the precision of a warrior, to live my Personal Legend?
I accept that life is a process.
It will never be solved.
But my movements through it can be masterful.
And mastery of my conduct is how I serve those I love.
Mastery of my conduct is how I build Trust.
And Trust is how anything worth doing gets done.
Art is only as good as its ability to strengthen a web of relationships.
