Kenny’s Soul Wisdom

It was easy to draw Kenny. A fearlessness showed up as I began to put down the first marks. There was an incredibly pure flow of emotions washing over Kenny as I drew him. He completely surrendered to the experience, and to his own knowing. I often have to intervene with guiding questions, but Kenny didn’t show up to be led, he came to be witnessed in his creative power.
Kenny’s soul wisdom is about embracing our nature; we are creatures of desire.
It is my divine pleasure to share the song, Sunrise, with all of you. This piece demanded that I record with better equipment and actually learn how to use garage band, lol. And it could not have happened without the ongoing technical support and creative directorship of my amazing partner, Garrett Moss. So grateful to be able to create in this way!

Sunrise

Within this body of god
I have a heart of want,

and it’s as natural as Sunrise
and it’s as natural as a predator hunting for its prey
and it’s as natural as the soil yearning for decay
and it’s as cold as the river that shocks you awake
and it’s as unrelenting as the desert with no clouds to break…
the coming of sunrise.
It’s the fire in your eyes,
burning you if it’s denied.

Release my rays across these plains
Send the rains that water my heartache
My pure longing grows a greenscape.
