Eric’s Soul Wisdom

To some, Eric may seem like another guy doing stuff on computers. (Clearly I know nothing about programming, lol). But Eric is truly a mage. Recently coming off of two years in a monastery, he had a patience and vastness of presence that made me feel at ease. Every time I felt a desire to pause during my explanation of our time together, or during my opening ritual, I felt permission to. Eric understands the importance and potency of silence.
Eric’s soul wisdom is about seeing the beauty in the pain that pushes us inward to come home to the self.

Thank you Distrust.
You gave me a relationship to vastness.
You pushed me into the emptiness
to breathe in silence.

Thank you Distrust.
You illuminated the color of my unsafety
and showed me where it resides in my body.
My resistance to connection is not the enemy.

Gratitude to my guardedness.
It must mean that I love my tender heart.
I cast a powerful shield about it
till my eyes could smile with the safety I created.

Now that I am spacious, quiet, and protected
wandering the plains within myself,
I lift my chest to the sun to receive the joy of togetherness.
I wonder who will come to play…
and see the beauty I’ve made of my pain.

Eric’s Experience

“I loved my session with Jill. It was treated like a ritual. We set our intention and created the container. We set our spaces and dropped into a meditation together. I meditated while she drew me. Once in a while, she would ask me a question that would guide her art or interpretation of our experience. When it was done, and we concluded the container, she shared the art. It was absolutely beautiful. I found meaning in every brushstroke. I found emotion in every color. If you want your soul to be witnessed and expressed through color, she can do that.”
