Inner mother and child
The child in me wants to be held in routine and to know what is expected of her.
But she doesn’t know how to create that for herself.
The mother in me is a shape-shifting channel, easily affected by whoever or whatever surrounds her.
This makes the child feel lost and helpless…too much change and without a clear direction.
But there is a mother goddess who minds the time
and contains the child
and changes at the pace of a turtle.
She makes food and practices martial forms
and makes art that brings order.
